How do you define transformational leadership?

Asked by Marta Wilson

Hi Martha,
This is a very thought provoking and interesting query. My understanding of a transformational leader is a true leader who puts passion and energy into everything they do.

A true leader who "walks the talk", inspires his associates or team members and help them achieve success. Visioning is very critical to these leaders and their ability to balance between creating actions that helps in progress and understanding the mental stage of their team is commendable.

They are charismatic, has a great amount of self confidence, believes in themselves, generates positive energies, and seek to transform.

Thanks,
Sujatha
